Piller, the data centre community and the WHO COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund

Piller, the global power protection leader, is pleased to acknowledge the data centre audience who attended its recent webinar series The Future of Data Center UPS Power at Scale with a charitable donation to the WHO COVID-Solidarity Response Fund.

Global data centre operators, developers and engineers attended webinars in 11 time zones from North America to Australia, the UK, Central Europe, the Middle East, China and Japan and Piller thanks them for their engagement.

Piller is a global corporate citizen and the donation recognises the critical work being done by data centre operators and engineers in tackling the virus, supporting front line health professionals and keeping vital digital services running.

As the world faces the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Piller group stands with those helping limit the spread of the virus and ease the related economic hardships faced by the communities in which we live and work.

In a statement on its web site the WHO says: “The world is facing an unprecedented challenge with communities and economies everywhere affected by the growing COVID-19 pandemic. The world is coming together to combat the COVID-19 pandemic bringing governments, organizations from across industries and sectors and individuals together to help respond to this global outbreak. The outpouring of global solidarity and support sparked by this shared challenge has been phenomenal.”
