See Piller UK at Data Centre World 2019, London

From the 12th to the 13th March 2019, some of the World’s best known names in the Data Centre industry will gather at the ExCel Centre, London.

Keith Maclean-Martin, Technical Manager, Piller UK, will be presenting two papers at the event titled ‘Designing Data Centre Power with Commerce in Mind’ on the Tuesday at 10:15 and ‘Major Data Centre Operator chooses Flywheels over Batteries’ on the Wednesday at 14:40.

Also on the stand will be the very latest in battery-free UPS, Piller’s Critical Power Module (CPM) – the CPM 300. The CPM topology is designed to deliver optimum performance combined with all of the operational features demanded by the modern data centre. The module houses its own energy storage with sufficient guaranteed capacity for delayed transition to standby generators. Capable of operating in up to four different modes, the CPM affords the perfect balance between required levels of protection and electrical efficiency. Modules are designed to be scalable up to 2400/2880kW and efficiency is above 96% at 25% load (IEC 62040-3). With no battery risk and battery replacement, the CPM offers quiet operation, advanced connectivity and is ideal for rapid deployment.

As the only company in the world manufacturing rotary and static UPS technologies with both kinetic energy storage and battery storage options, Piller has the unique flexibility to configure a vast range of power protection, switching and conversion products into solutions that match the precise requirements of clients.

Piller rotary UPS solutions are built around the renowned UNIBLOCK™ system, delivering outputs from 150kVA to 50MVA in both independent and diesel-coupled configurations. The UNIBLOCK UBT+ offers up to 97% efficiency and highest reliability with state-of-the-art technology, unique design and versatile options in either conventional UPS or DeRUPS™ configurations, whilst the equally reliable UBTD+ diesel-coupled unit produces the most space-efficient power supply possible.

When it comes to battery-free solutions. Piller is a market leader of kinetic energy storage ranging from 3.6MJ up to 60MJ+ per unit. The Piller POWERBRIDGE™ and Active Power CleanSource® storage systems have unique design techniques employed to provide high energy content with low losses. These energy stores can be configured singularly or in parallel with a variety of Piller UPS units to facilitate a wide range of power-time combination

Piller’s Static UPS solutions offer economical ways to ensure secure, continuous power supply. The APOSTAR Static UPS ranges from 3kVA to 400kVA, engineered to deliver greater real power protection to the most demanding applications.

Come along to stand D830 for an informal chat with Piller’s technical team to find out how Piller has been shaping power protection in data centre applications across the world.
