Piller wins ‘Future Proof Company’ award 3 years running

Piller recognised again for its vision, strategy and execution in recruitment, worker diversity, digitalisation and sustainability.

Piller Group, the Germany based global engineering and power storage manufacturer has again been recognised as a “Future Proof Company.”

For the third time in a row Piller’s actions in meeting the challenges of changing demographics, recruitment, retention and development of skilled workers, digitalisation and, sustainability have been recognised and certified. Piller’s actions included developing and implementing successful measures with the close involvement of its employees. The Piller Group has been addressing these important issues for many years with a variety of measures and activities.

For this, the company was awarded the title of “Future-Proof Company” for the third time in a row by the Demography Agency for the Economy of the Lower Saxony Ministry for Social Affairs, Labour, Health and Equality at a ceremony in Hanover. The certification included a “Future Check”, in which the current status of the company’s sustainability was determined.

Certification is awarded only to companies that actively face current challenges through leadership, diversity, health and competence in terms of demographics and worker retention, digitalisation and sustainability. The award is made to recognize how demographic changes pose major challenges to German companies in their search for skilled workers while acknowledging how digitalisation and the sustainable use of resources are fundamentally changing the world of work.

“Having already been awarded the title of Top Employer of Southern Lower Saxony (TOPAS) as well as the most attractive employer in the Southern Harz region in the TOP25 ranking, the renewed certification as “Future Proof” confirms that our strategic activities in HR management are on the right track. We are particularly proud of our apprenticeship programme, which is increasingly appealing to younger women in the technical professions, as well as of our processes for employee recruitment, further qualification, and knowledge transfer between new and experienced employees,” explains Dr Detlev Seidel, Managing Director Operations of the Piller Group. “This will ensure that we continue to provide the best possible customer service in all areas in the future.”

For the third year running Piller Group’s “Future Check” results in certification from the Demography Agency for the Economy of the Lower Saxony Ministry.
