Piller, the global power protection leader, supplied a total of 16,000kVA fully redundant power back up to the KKB Anadolu Data Centre, Turkey’s new financial services sector ‘digital fortress’ and supported to gain Tier IV facility certification by the Uptime Institute.
KKB embarked on its Anadolu Data Centre project in Ankara to provide main and back up data centre services along with cross connect and cloud services for over 150 financial services companies. KKB was founded in 1995. Its membership includes banks, factoring and leasing firms, consumer finance companies, asset management and insurance companies operating in Turkey*.
In a two phase project over four years Piller supplied the power protection infrastructure comprising eight Piller UNIBLOCK® 2000kVA, 400V, 50Hz UPS.
Uptime Institute Tier IV certification is the highest data center operating redundancy level achievable.
The KKB Data Center is also a LEED platinum certified for its environmental efficiency design.
