Piller rental UPS systems offer maximum protection
Europe’s casinos have a long and colourful history. In the Netherlands the first public gaming venues date back to the 14th and 15th centuries.
Such settings mean that even today casinos are often located in historic cities within residential areas where they operate under strict local laws.
Such was the background for a power protection infrastructure project where Piller was tasked with the supply and commissioning of a UPS system (uninterruptible power supply) at one of Europe’s oldest and largest gaming venues.
As a responsible venue operator providing safe gaming environments for players the client required a reliable power back-up solution that would not adversely impact the lives of its surrounding neighbours. Regulations for businesses in Holland are designed to stop any nuisance noise affecting people’s quality of life and are taken very seriously by Dutch authorities. Noise levels from business operations must be kept within strict limits.
Piller successfully delivered, installed and commissioned a 500kW liquid fuel containerised UPS back up power solution at short notice.
The solution replaced a competitor system which was unsuitable as its operation produced excessive noise.
In power protection terms the client left nothing to chance to meet the goal of ensuring that the call of “rien ne va plus” (no more bets) applied only to players at gaming tables and not because of power interruptions.
Providing a safe environment includes reliable back up power
The system was sourced from Piller’s extensive rental range of equipment which is available for short periods or on a long-term lease basis.
